8th Grade Students Eat First This Week
1. YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE $40.00 CASH ONLY SOLD RM. 230 OR 620 and ONLINE AT WWW.JOSTENSYEARBOOK.COM. IF YOU BUY A YEARBOOK BY FEBRUARY 26TH YOU WILL BE ENTERED IN THE DRAWING TO WIN A FREE DIGITAL CAMERA.
2. Basketball/Soccer Practice Monday Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 pm.
3. Migrant Education tutoring in Ms. Malleys' room 940. 2:00-3:00 Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
4. ELT (Extended Learning Time) tutoring Monday and Tuesday (LA) in Rooms 220 and 920 and Wednesday and Thursday (MATH)in Rooms 620, 630 and 670 from 2:00 3:00.
5. Report Cards will be sent home with students on Friday January 29, 2010. Students picked up early on Friday will be able to pick up their report cards on Monday February 1, 2010.

7th Grade Students Eat First This Week
1. Santa Candy Grams will be sold tomorrow 12-15 and Wednesday 12-16 during lunch for $1.00. They will be delivered Friday morning during advisory.
2. Last week to buy a Chipman Charger Yearbook for $35.00 cash only sold in rm. 230 and in rm. 620. Next time we sell them they will be $40.00.
3. It is that time of year again, the time when we give to the less fortunate. Our annual holiday food drive begins on Tuesday 12-8-09 and runs until Tuesday 12-15-09.
4. The library is sponsoring a book drive to support the GET bus Reading Express program that puts books on the GET busses. Please bring gently used or new books suitable for kids from preschool to High School to the library. There is a box provided for your donations. The book drive ends next week! Thanks for your support of this community literacy event!
5. After school practice for boys and girls basketball and soccer teams Monday through Wednesday.
6. After School Basketball and Soccer Games vs. Curran at Curran - Thursday 2:45 - 3:45.
7. Migrant Education tutoring in Ms. Malleys' room 940. 2:00-3:00 Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. We will cancel Migrant Tutoring this week and begin again Jan. 4th.
8. ELT (Extended Learning Time) tutoring Monday and Tuesday (LA) in Rooms 220 and 920 and Wednesday and Thursday (MATH)in Rooms 620 and 670 from 2:00 3:00. ELT will be cancelled for this week 12/14 12/18, and resume Jan. 4th.
9. Holiday hats may be worn to school December 14 through December 18 to show your holiday spirit (Santa Hat, reindeer antlers, etc.). Bells however will not be allowed. FYI, teachers certainly have the authority to ask students to remove hats during class time.

11. Winter Vacation December 21, through January 1, 2010 No School. School Resumes Monday January 4, 2010.

3. Student council meeting this Thursday 12-3-09 during lunch in room 930. Please eat your lunch first and then attend the meeting. This is a smaller room and will not allow us room to eat.

If you are interested in purchasing a Chipman T-Shirt, please see Ms. Dinsmore during recess or lunch. The cost is $10, cash only and will be pre-sold through December 3. After all of the sales are in on December 3, it will take two weeks to receive the t-shirts.

Opposite Week
8th Grade Students Eat First This Week
1. Boys and Girls interested in after school team basketball, soccer and/or cross country please sign up during PE this week.
2. Tryouts for boys and girls basketball and coed soccer teams will begin on Tuesday Nov. 17th after school from 2:00 - 3:00. You must have a 2.00 GPA or better to be eligible from your progress report you received last week.
3. GET busses are in need of more gently used books to stock the book racks on their GET busses. We are holding a book drive to help them out! If you have gently used books that can be used by kids of all ages, please bring them to the library. We have provided boxes in the library to hold the books. Thanks for your support of this community-wide literacy project!
4. Just a reminder that the 39 Clues Book Club will meet Tuesday from 2:05 - 3:00. All you have to do to join is show up in the library!
