Our first week of school is devoted to learning the rules and procedures that make a classroom run smoothly with the maximum of learning for all.  We are doing activities that help us to know each other better and to practice rules and procedures.

Next week we will begin work in our  curriculum.  Seventh graders will study Life Science and eighth graders will learn Physical Science.  All students will receive their own Interactive Reader which is an abbreviated version of the textbook.   IRs (interactive readers)  will be carried back and forth to school and will be needed everyday in class. Students will be reading content and writing in their IRs.  We will also underline or highlight important facts to focus our learning.    Because students will have an IR, they will not need to borrow a textbook to do assignments at home.
